crosscountry_150Lincolnview won the boys Northwest Conference cross country title in a close battle with Columbus Grove finishing in the runner-up position.  On the girls side, Spencerville won the title for the 7th year in a row with the Bluffton girls taking the runner-up.  The event was run at Crestivew’s cross country course located at the Van Wert County reservoir near the grounds of the Van Wert County Hospital.

Crestview’s Mycah Grandstaff  ran the best individual time of 16:36 just beating out Colton Grothaus (Columbus Grove) who was credited with the same time.  Third-place finisher Bayley Tow (Lincolnview – 16:44) was voted by the coaches as NWC Male Runner of the Year.

Spencerville’s Karri Purdy won the girls race in a time of 20:51, and she was voted NWC Female Runner of the Year. 

Lincolnview’s Matt Langdon was voted Boys Coach of the Year, and Spencerville’s Brian McMichael was voted Girls Coach of the Year.

In the junior high competition, Lincolnview won the boys’ race and Bluffton won the girls’ race.
