2016 NWC Football All-Conference Teams
Delphos Jefferson seniors, Hunter Binkley and Jace Stockwell, were voted Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year in the NWC respectively. Binkley was selected as a first team all-conference running back for the third year in a row. Stockwell was selected as a first-team choice at defensive back for the second consecutive year.
Delphos Jefferson head coach Chris Sommers was selected as the Coach of the Year for the third year in a row in all-conference selection voting by coaches at a meeting in Delphos on Monday. Jefferson won the conference title for the fourth consecutive year by defeating Spencerville in the final game of the year to finish the year with a 7-0 league win/loss record.

Delphos Jefferson is ranked 9th and Spencerville is ranked 14th in Division VI in the final weekly 2016 AP State Football Poll.
The final weekly OHSAA Football Computer Rankings were released and 4 NWC schools are headed to the playoffs after finishing with a top 8 finish in their region.
Bluffton senior Antony Kingsley was voted the 2016 Northwest Conference “Player of The Year” in a vote at a meeting of conference boys’ soccer coaches held in Delphos. Terry Sheridan, a junior from Ada, finished second in the balloting. Steve Smucker of Bluffton was selected as “Coach of the Year” in the balloting. Kingsley was a unanimous selection as player of the year in the voting where coaches could not vote for their own players.
Senior Leah Casey from conference runner-up Allen East was voted the 2016 Northwest Conference “Player of The Year” at a meeting of conference soccer coaches held in Delphos. Allen East teammate Jade Meyer finished second in the balloting. Lamar Houston (AE) was selected as “Coach of the Year” in the balloting.
Ada junior Melina Woods was voted the 2016 Northwest Conference “Player of The Year” at a meeting of conference volleyball coaches in Delphos. Woods also earned Player of the Year honors as a sophomore in last year’s balloting. JaNahn Evans of Lincolnview was voted NWC Coach of the Year by her peers. Ada finished the year as conference champs with a perfect 8-0 record in league play.
The final 2016 OHSVCA Volleyball State Poll was released and there were no NWC schools represented in the poll.
