Gusty winds spoiled a bright, sunny day and made for difficult conditions at the 2011 Northwest Conference Cross County meet hosted by Paulding at a course around the Paulding reservoir. Columbus Grove defended their boys title with a twenty-five point win over Lincolnview. Crestview finished third in the boys race. On the girls side Spencerville won their fifth consecutive NWC title with a 45 point victory over Crestview.  Bluffton finished third in the girls race.

Columbus Grove’s Jake Graham ran the best individual time of 17:50 and was voted by the coaches as NWC Male Runner of the Year.

Bluffton’s Hannah Chappell-Dick won the girls race in a time of 20:54, and she was voted NWC Female Runner of the Year. 

Columbus Grove’s Terry Schnipke was voted Boys Coach of the Year, and Spencerville’s Brian McMichael was voted Girls Coach of the Year.

In the junior high competition, Spencerville won the boys race, and Columbus Grove took the girls race.
