L.C.C. WINS FOURTH
STRAIGHT “DON BACHMAN AWARD” The award was started during the 2005-06 school year to honor longtime Northwest Conference commissioner/secretary, Don Bachman, who served in that position for more than thirty years before passing away late in 2005. In capturing it’s fourth straight “Don Bachman Award,” Lima Central Catholic won outright conference titles in Golf, Boys Basketball and Scholastic Bowl., and shared the NWC crown in Baseball. Columbus Grove did not win or share any NWC titles, but the Bulldogs’ consistently strong performance in all sports enabled them to finish just one-half point behind L.C.C. Other NWC champions were Ada (Football), Allen East (Wrestling), Bluffton (Baseball), Crestview (Volleyball), Delphos Jefferson (Volleyball, Girls Basketball), Paulding (Baseball, Softball), and Spencerville (Girls and Boys Cross Country, Girls and Boys Track). The final order of finish for the
2009-10 school year is as follows:
Columbus Grove 87 Crestview 73.5 Delphos Jefferson 67.5 Spencerville 66 Bluffton 63 Paulding 56.5 Lincolnview 42.5 Allen East 35.5
