News & Scores

2017 NWC Football All-Conference Teams

Spencerville head coach Chris Sommers was selected as the Coach of the Year for the Northwest Conference in voting by coaches at a meeting in Delphos on Monday. Spencerville went undefeated in conference play (7-0) to win the conference title for the fourth time in school history.  The outright championship was the first for Spencerville since 1963.

Crestview junior quarterback Drew Kline was voted the Offensive Player of the Year. Chase Sumner, a senior defensive back from Ada, was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year.

Spencerville, Crestview and Ada have all qualified for the state football playoffs. On Friday, Nov. 3, Spencerville will host Mechanicsburg and Crestview will host Ansonia.  Ada will travel to Liberty Benton.  All games are scheduled to start at 7:30 pm.

2017 NWC Girls Soccer All-Conference Teams

Sophomore Kayla White from conference co-champ Bluffton was voted the 2017 Northwest Conference “Player of The Year” at a meeting of conference soccer coaches held in Delphos.  Delphos Jefferson junior Maddie McConnahea finished second in the balloting.  Jared Byers (BL) was selected as “Coach of the Year” in the balloting.  Bluffton and Allen East tied for the league championship with identical 6-0-1 league records.

2017 NWC Volleyball All-Conference Teams

Ada senior Melina Woods was voted the 2017 Northwest Conference “Player of The Year” at a meeting of conference volleyball coaches in Delphos.  Woods  has earned Player of the Year honors three consecutive years in the conference.  Tammy Gregory of Crestview was voted NWC Coach of the Year by her peers.  Ada finished the year as conference champs with a perfect 8-0 record in league play.
