Recap
This was a nice way to end the season especially for the seniors! We hit the ball hard and made better decisions at the plate. We swung at pitches we should swing at and let the others go by. Ada scored 2 in the first. Ashley Wagner walked and stole second. Ashlie Kindle reached on an error by the Delphos Jefferson second baseman which plated Wagner. Kindle also stole second. Three consecutive walks by Sarah Smith, Kendra Hall and Sam Ring plated Kindle. Ada scored another in the second. Tiffanie Jolliff led off with a double and scored on an error by the Jefferson shortstop on a ball hit by Wagner. Ada struck again in the third for four runs. Ring led off with a double, Stephanie Cribley had an RBI single and Jolliff was hit by a pitch putting runners on first and second. Lindsay Simmons reached on a fielder’s choice on a nice play made by the Jefferson shortstop again putting runners on first and second. Kindle singled home Jolliff and Amanda Fullom singled to score Simmons and Kindle. Ada pushed another run across in the fourth. Hall led off with a walk, moved to second on a single by Cribley and scored on an RBI double by Wagner. Ada’s final 2 runs came in the fifth. Jarita Pope was hit by a pitch and scored on an RBI double by Fullom. Fullom scored on an RBI groundout by Katlin TenEyck.
