Ada loaded the bases in the bottom of the first – Ashley Wagner walked; Lindsay Simmons had a bunt single; and Ashlie Kindle battled hard for a walk. However, Hardin Northern settled down and only gave up one run. Wagner scored on a wild pitch. Ada scored again in the third. Amanda Fullom led off with a single, Sarah Smith followed with a single and Kendra Hall walked to load the bases again with no one out. Sam Ring came through with an RBI single scoring Fullom. Tia Douce also had an RBI single plating Smith. Ada tallied its final two runs in the bottom of the sixth. The inning began similar to the first - Wagner led off with a walk and Simmons had a bunt single. Kindle singled to left scoring Wagner. Simmons executed a delayed steal from second to third and scored on a sacrifice fly by Fullom. Kindle pitched a nice game. She had 10 strikeouts and did a nice job of keeping Hardin Northern off balance for the game. Ada will play at Bluffton on Monday and return to Arlington on Tuesday to face Riverdale.
