Paulding took advantage of 2 Ada miscues and 2 hits in
the fourth inning to push across 3 runs. The final hit
of the inning came with 2 outs. It was a homerun to left
field by Paulding catcher, Switzer. She connected on an
0-2 count off of Ashlie Kindle. Paulding scored twice in
the fifth with back-to-back hits and another Ada error.
They tallied another 2 runs in the seventh after a
leadoff triple and walk and a throwing error by Ada. Ada
could not get anything going off of Carnahan. We left 8
runners stranded and Paulding made some nice defensive
plays to get out of innings. We struggled all afternoon
at the plate and made some costly mistakes in the field.
Give Paulding credit, they got the big hit when they
needed to. Kindle recorded another double digit
strikeout day with 12. We need to make better decisions
with hitters when we get them behind in the count with
some off-speed and the corners. Ada will play at
Arlington tomorrow.
