Delphos Jefferson junior guard,
Kristin Klausing,
was selected as the
2009-10
NWC
Player of The
Year in voting by Northwest Conference girls
basketball coaches at the annual NWC selection meeting
Monday night at
Delphos
Jefferson
High School.
Klausing, who was first-team All
Conference as a sophomore, averaged 18.9 points, 4.6
rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 5.1 steals per game in
leading the Wildcats to a perfect 9-0 conference record
and an undisputed NWC Championship.
Klausing was joined on the NWC
First Team by Crestview’s Jo Thompson, LCC’s Danielle
Taflinger, Paulding’s Shelby Erford, and
Ada’s Malary Dumbaugh.
Dave Hoffman,
who led Jefferson to
the school’s tenth overall NWC girls basketball title,
was selected by his peers as the
NWC
Coach of the
Year.
