The NWC also presented it’s All-Conference Awards for 2012.

The coaches voted Mike Badertscher of as ‘COACH OF THE YEAR’, and Evan Crites of Spencerville earned ‘PLAYER OF THE YEAR’ honors by virtue of points earned during each regular season match.  Crites scored 215.5 out of a maximum 216 points.   Crites was joined on the NWC First Team by Rich Streicher (191) of Bluffton, Nick Gallmeier (185.5) of Delphos Jefferson, Tanner Richardson (169.5) of Allen East, Slade Downing (166.5) of Ada, and Kayne Richardson (160) of Allen East

In each NWC match, points are awarded to the 12 players based on order of finish from 1 through 12.   The medalist earns 12 points, the next lowest score 11, etc.  Ties add the points for the places involved and divide by the number of ties.

All-Conference players are selected by the total points amassed during regular season NWC matches.  The top six (and ties) earn First Team honors.  The next six (and ties) are named to the Second Team.  The next twelve (and ties) earn Honorable Mention.
